Big Charlie are Matteo De Ruggieri & Stefano Milella. The Italian duo get together all their sounds in an irreverent electro project that winks to Phoenix and Beck, not disdaining the electro sounds dictated by influences like Daft Punk and Justice. All is deftly mixed together with recalls of the out-of-hand and crazy bebop rhythm. In the new millennium music scene is almost impossible creating something new, so the only way out is to take as many ingredients as you can and make them a single, perfect thing. It’s not so simple as we can say it: it can be confused and confusing, as every form of art. Big Charlie prove that they can do it: that means being talented. That Really Hurts is something strange, and we like it strange.
